Abstract:Caiwa antimony deposit in Shanxi province locates in the northern Qinling Caledonian fold beit. It occurred in metamorphic rocks of Proterozoic Qinling group, and is strictly controlled by secondly folds of regional fault and faults of Jieling anticlinorium. Based on comprensive analysis of metallogenic geological setting, geological characteristics and the origin of deposit, ore-controlling factors of this deposit have been summarized. It is regarded that the Caiwa antimony deposit are obviously controlled by ore-bearing strata, faults and magmatism. New prospecting direction is proposed. It is inferred that there is prospecting potentiality in the deep part of Caiwa antimony deposit. Based on favorable faults position and the ore prospecting indicators of mineralization and alteration, new orebodies can be found and a great breakthrough in ore prospecting can be gained.
