Abstract:Map projection is an important part of GIS knowledge system. Each GIS software will involve this part of knowledge. Projection transformation software not only has more pertinence compared with other MapGIS softwares, but also more in line with national conditions in China. In this paper, setting specific operation of "user files projection transformation" function as an example, its application in geological circuit diagram and histogram have been introduced. Combining with the auxiliary function of the large drilling in geological maps projection and terrain into diagram, the application of MapGIS software based on geological maps has been explained in detail. How to increase work precision and save work time by using MapGIS software have been discussed as well.
