Abstract:Based on the principle of highresolution sequence stratigraphy, through analysis and constrast on drilling datas of Liangshan coal mine, coal bearing strata in Liangshan coal mine can be divided into 6 long period base level cycles, 10 middle period base level cycles and 30 short period base level cycles. High resolution sequence stratigraphy framework of coalbearing strata in Liangshan coal mine has been established. Through study on lithologic features and sedimentary rule of coalbearing strata in Liangshan coal mine, two coalaccumulating periods of Liangshan coal mine have been analyzed.It is showed that coalbearing strata in Taiyuan formations were mainly formed in lagoon and tidal flat environments in the rising semicycle in base level cycle; while the coal in shanxi formations was mainly formed in shallow water delta depositional system, and coal strata were mainly occurred in the falling semicycle of short period base level cycle.
