科研工作是博物馆工作的重要组成部分，搞好科研工作不仅可以有效提高博物馆管理水平和社会效益，而且可全面增强博物馆的综合竞争力。烟台自然博物馆是一个以自然科学为主的博物馆，因此，科研工作的重要性更加突出，需要从多方面做好科研工作。

Abstract:

Scientific research work is an important part of the museum work. Progress of research work is a guarantee for improving the level of museum business and social benefits , but also a measurement for strengthening comprehensive competitiveness of the museum. Yantai Museum of Natural History is a museum of natural science, therefore, the importance of the research work is more prominent. Thus, research work need to be done in many aspects.
