Abstract:Through the implementation of land development and consolidation, rural environment has been radically improved. It has not only increased the square of arable land in rural areas, but also promoted agricultural production levels and living level of farmers. It has promoted rural economic development as well. The improvation of agricultural production conditions has effectively reduced production costs, promoted general scale benefit, strengthened economic level of the village collective, and speeded up the pace of building new socialist countryside. But there still occurred some problems, such as inadequate attention, not enough work quality, and lack of post management and protection. Thus, the leadership should be strengthened, operation be standardized, management be tracked in order to ensure the effectiveness of land development and consolidation.
