A potash deposit, which was discovered, for the first time, a few years ago, is located in the Dawenkou Basin of Shandong Province in Chine. The potash-bearing bed occurs as an intercalated one in the multi-beds of rock salt in the second member of the Guanzhuang formation of the Eocene-Oligocene sediments.
