The gold deposits in the Zhaoyuan-Yexian region are controlled by three basic factors: the stratigraphy(the Jiaodong Group), magmatic rocks and structures. The Jiaodong Group spreading approximately in the E-W direction is chars cterized by high abundance of gold and, thut, is generally considered to be the source bed of the gold deposits.
