Abstract:

Through the study of chemical compositions of typomorphic minerals and nodules in the Mengyin kimberlites,it is deduced that the forming temperatures and pressures for the Mengyin kimberlites are in the range of 1300—2000℃ and 45—99 kb respectively.It is further suggested that: (1)the depth at which the diamond-bearing kimberlites were formed is no less than 140km;(2)a boundary between the upper part and the lower part of the ideal profile of the upper mantle can be set at the depth of about 140kin,above wh...
