ON THE QINGSHAN FORMATION IN THE MENGYIN BASIN IN SHANDONG

Abstract:

Through the studies on the biostratigraphy,lithostratigraphy,isotopic age determination,spectrum determination and heavy minerals of the Qing- sha Formation in the Mengyin Basin,we may gain the following recog- nition: 1.The Qingshan Formation can be divided into five lithologic mem- bers(from the top to the bottom): (5)volcanic breccia-agglomerate member; (4)andesite-basalt member; (3)volcanic breccia-agglomerate member; (2)tuff-siltstone member; (1)conglomerate-agglomerate member. 2.The fossils in the Qin...
